Days Out and Places to Visit in Nottinghamshire

Things To Do & Days Out in Nottinghamshire, UK

Nottinghamshire is my home County, I live in the city center of Nottingham. Large parts of North Nottinghamshire are still covered by Sherwood Forest, which is not the great forest it was 100's of years ago, but still beautiful.

Nowadays Sherwood forest isn't really one large forest but a collection of smaller forests, woodlands and parks, like - Clumber Park and Rufford Country Park and The Major Oak visitor center & park.

This 'places to visit' or things to do in Nottinghamshire page will grow over the coming months as I travel around taking photos and visiting places of interest.

A large section of the River Trent runs through Nottinghamshire creating many natural beauty spots.
Natural places of interest in Nottinghamshire include -

Wollaton Park
Nottingham University Park
Naturescape Wildflower Centre
Newstead Abbey Gardens
