| A few of my favorite places to visit around the Norfolk and Suffolk area of East Anglia, most of the places on this page I've visited myself and taken a few photos. Hopefully you'll find a few new and interesting places to visit in East Anglia.
Norfolk is very flat with lots of gentle slow moving waterways, especially around the Norfolk Broads Area. The North of Norfolk has lots of salt marshes and 'flatland' making it great for watching water birds of all types. |
The whole area has a 'dutch' flavour with lots of windmills and large stretches of flat farmland. Most of the West of the county is taken up with the 'Norfolk Broads'.
Suffolk is slightly more 'rolling' countryside than Norfolk, but it still has a very open 'distant' horizon feel to it. Suffolk is full of beautiful little villages and market towns, it fact there aren't any large Cities in Suffolk - apart from Ipswich at the very South edge of the county. |
