North Derbyshire is mainly taken up by the Peak District National Park. The
Peak District was Britain's first national park, established in 1951.
This is a vast area of diverse English Countryside and Landscape, everything from the rolling Derbyshire Dales in the South to rugged Mountainous areas in the North.
The area also has several large reservoirs, these are now old enough to appear 'natural' and bed into the surrounding countryside.
A few of the places i've visited include -
Snake Pass, Howden Reservoir,
Derwent Valley - Ladybower, Howden & Derwent Reservoirs,
Longshaw Estate, Padley Gorge,
Markeaton Park and Elvaston Castle.
