Photo Licensing Info

All of the photos on this site are available for commercial or personal licensing.
(A license just means i agree to let you use a photo - the type of use you intend defines the type of license)

Most of the original photos are 8.2 million pixels, 3504x2336 pixels. These are saved as Tiff files that open at 23.5 meg.

Please email me with license requests - please include the name of the image required.

All payments are by Paypal - once payment is received i'll either email the Tiff of the image. (you DON'T need a Paypal account).

Photos may be used for FREE as web banners / backgrounds providing a link back to my site is included on your site, preferably as a credit in the footer. (**see note below)

**Notes on free usage.
1. Don't link to the images directly, this is called 'hot linking'. To use an image on your site you must download it from my site to your computer and then upload it to your server / site.
2. The full resolution tiffs and JPGs are not available for free usage. The sizes on this site are more than enough for web graphics.

Royalty Free, non-exclusive license is $25 / £17

(most people just need this license) With this license you pay a one off fee to use the photo for promotional or personal use - Promo Posters, advertising, educational projects, in magazines, newspapers, in books or booklets, flyers, posters for yourself, etc etc. The only restriction of this license is that you aren't allowed to re-sell the photo in it's original form. So you can't upload the original photo to a stock photography site or sell prints/posters/t-shirts/mugs etc of the unaltered original photo. Buying the high-resolution image (purchasing the license) does not transfer the copyright. You may not claim that the image is your own and you may not sell, license for use, or in any way distribute the original image for reuse.

Royalty Free, non - exclusive, Print Usage License $50 / £32

This license is for physical or digital Items for Resale: includes the right to use the photos for sale on t-shirts, CD covers, DVD covers, covers for books, postcards, greeting cards, mugs, mouse pads, posters, calendars, framed artwork that is to be sold to other customers. This includes web stuff like screen savers, templates and desktop wallpapers. Maximum number of print / electronical items is 5,000 copies (applies as a total of all types of usage). If this amount is exceeded you need to acquire this license once again.

Buy Out - Sell the Rights - License $1500 / £930

This license represents a full ownership of the downloaded image. The buyer can use it exclusively (exclusivity applies from the moment that the file was downloaded using this license), and include it in any type of design. Note - The buyer may not claim that the file was created by him nor resell it as a photo.

Royalty Free, non - exclusive, Television, Video, Film Commercial $245 / £150

This is a Worldwide All Media, in perpetuity license. For use of an image in any part of a program to be commercially broadcast.

All payments are by Paypal - once payment is received i'll either email the JPG of the image or give you a web page address to download the Tiff version of the photo.
