Photo Licensing Info

All of the photos on this site are available for commercial or personal licensing.
(A license just means i agree to let you use a photo - the type of use you intend defines the type of license)

Most of the original photos are 8.2 million pixels, 3504x2336 pixels.
These are 4-5 meg JPG's or 23.5 meg Tiffs. The JPGs and Tiffs are identical - the jpgs are saved on the highest quality setting in photoshop.

Royalty Free, non-exclusive license is $40 / £20
(most people just need this license)
With this license you pay a one off fee to use the photo for promotional or personal use - Promo Posters, web banners, educational projects, in magazines, newspapers, books or booklets, covers for books, flyers, TV-programmes, posters for yourself, etc etc.

The only restriction of this license is that you aren't allowed to re-sell the photo in it's original form. So you can't upload the original photo to a stock photography site or sell prints/posters/t-shirts/mugs etc of the unaltered original photo. Buying the high-resolution image (purchasing the license) does not transfer the copyright. You may not claim that the image is your own and you may not sell, license for use, or in any way distribute the original image for reuse.

This license is for physical or digital Items for Resale:
includes the right to use the photos for sale on t-shirts, CD covers, DVD covers, postcards, greeting cards, mugs, mouse pads, posters, calendars, framed artwork that is to be sold to other customers.

This includes web stuff like screen savers, templates and desktop wallpapers.


Please email me with license requests - please include the name of the image required.

All payments are by Paypal - once payment is received i'll either email the JPG of the image or give you a web page address to download the Tiff version of the photo.

No photograph may be reproduced, copied, stored, manipulated or used whole or in part of a derivative work without the written permission of the author.

Wallpapers cannot be used on other websites as downloadable desktop wallpapers. Any other use is prohibited. For any other use of the images please visit the licencing page for more information.

Please do NOT hotlink directly to the wallpapers - this is mainly MySpace uses who use the wallpapers as backgrounds for their profile pages. If you do want a picture for your profile, then at least upload it to your own web / server space and stop stealing my bandwidth!!!!
